Empowering parents and teens to navigate the digital world with a Christ-centered approach. We provide faith-based resources and encourage open, honest communication about challenging topics to promote safety, wisdom, and trust online and IRL.
At Sacred Stewardship, we envision a world where children and teens are empowered to embrace their God-given worth, reject the normalization of harmful behaviors, and navigate the challenges of a hyperconnected world with conviction and resilience. Through the guidance of faith, prayer, and loving support, we strive to help families foster open conversations, build stronger relationships, and stand firm against the influences of hypersexualized content, cyberbullying, and the normalization of addictive behaviors.
By keeping God front and center, we are dedicated to equipping parents and teens with the tools to cultivate hearts of purity, courage, and compassion, creating a future rooted in respect, grace, and unwavering stewardship of each other and our divine purpose.
Parenting is one of the most profound and challenging journeys we embark on. Our love for our children runs so deep that the desire to protect them can feel overwhelming. Yet, as much as we want to shield them, there comes a point where we must let go—surrendering them into God’s hands and trusting His plan for their lives.
This tension can be daunting, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, tempted to either curl up in a ball and cry or bury our heads in the sand. But we don’t have to navigate this alone. Sacred Stewardship was born from the recognition that we need God, the support of a loving community, and practical tools to guide us through this sacred responsibility.
Together, we can walk this journey of parenting with faith, courage, and hope, knowing we are not alone.
We see you. Growing up in today’s digital world is full of challenges and complexities that can feel overwhelming. We understand the tension you experience—on some level, you recognize that much of what you encounter online can be harmful, even sinister. At the same time, you long for something deeper, something better: to grow up in a way that feels right, with age-appropriate content, genuine connections, and wholesome experiences.
It’s natural and good to want to hold on to innocence while also feeling the pull to explore, test boundaries, and satisfy your curiosity. You’re not alone in these struggles, and your desire for authenticity and wholesomeness is something to be celebrated.
We want you to know that we are here for you—with empathy, compassion, and support—as you navigate this journey. You are valuable, capable, and deserving of a life filled with goodness and truth.
A day in the life of a teen in the digital world is filled with exposure to harmful influences, unrealistic beauty standards, risks of pornography and sextortion, and more. Teens face the dangers of online predators, normalization of risky behaviors, and even the harsh realities of sex trafficking. The constant pressure to maintain an idealized online persona can also contribute to feelings of depression, anxiety, and isolation, as teens seek validation but often struggle with self-esteem. These are just some of the issues when navigating the digital world as a teen, read below to see more.
In the United States, approximately 42% of youth aged 10 to 17 have reported viewing online pornography. Problematic pornography use has been associated with mental health issues, including increased anxiety and depression, as well as difficulties in forming healthy relationships.
Suicide is the second-leading cause of death for individuals aged 10 to 34 in the United States, often linked to mental health struggles from digital environments, making it crucial for parents, educators, and communities to address both mental health and online safety to protect vulnerable teens.
Cyberbullying has a profound impact on adolescents, leading to emotional distress, mental health issues, and in severe cases, self-harm or suicidal thoughts. 26.5% of U.S. teens aged 13 to 17 reported experiencing cyberbullying within the last 30 days, an increase from 23.2% in 2021.
Exposure to the digital world can exacerbate depression and anxiety in adolescents, as they navigate the pressures of online validation, and the overwhelming flow of unrealistic expectations. 60% of teens reported feeling anxious or depressed due to the pressures of social media.
Social media influences disorders and unrealistic standards, leading teens to develop unhealthy body image perceptions, engage in extreme dieting, and exhibit behaviors such as anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating. These platforms can also create pressure to conform to idealized body types, worsening feelings of inadequacy and fueling disordered eating habits.
The digital world often promotes false idols and unrealistic standards, leading teens to struggle with cyberbullying, toxic comparisons, and harmful behaviors, leading to issues like low self-esteem, mental health struggles, and the pursuit of validation.
Sexting can lead to emotional distress, cyberbullying, legal issues, mental health challenges, and relational harm, highlighting the need for education and open communication.
Sextortion, where individuals are blackmailed with explicit images, can cause severe emotional distress, mental health problems, and even suicide, highlighting the urgent need for awareness and preventive measures. Teenage boys are the primary targets of sextortion, with many perpetrators posing as young females.
30% of human trafficking victims detected globally were children. Child sex trafficking has devastating effects on vulnerable children, causing long-term trauma and exploitation, requiring urgent action and intervention.
Social media can normalize access to drugs by promoting drug use through influencers or peer groups, leading teens to perceive substance abuse as a common, acceptable behavior, which increases the likelihood of experimentation and addiction. This can lead to increased experimentation, addiction, mental health issues, and social or legal consequences for teens.

Generative AI, deepfakes, and chatbots can affect teens by exposing them to fake news, manipulated images or videos that distort reality, and scams that exploit their trust. These technologies can amplify cyberbullying, damage self-esteem through false representations, and make it harder to distinguish truth from lies, leading to confusion, mistrust, and emotional stress.
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
- Galatians 5:22-23
The fruits of the Spirit guide both teens and parents in digital awareness, encouraging teens to reflect Christ’s love, kindness, and self-control online, while helping parents to model godly behavior, set boundaries, and nurture faith-filled conversations to protect their children in the digital world.
